Tennessee Fiber Festival

Skein Competition

Skeins must be handspun and from natural fibers. Each skein should weigh between  1 oz and 2 oz.  Awards; 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons. Rosette for Best of show.

Categories are:

Sheep’s Wool    All Other Fibers           Novice*          Youth**

Single Ply                 Single Ply                  Anything        Anything

Novelty                    Novelty                    

*Novice-spinning for less than one year

**Youth-16 years old and under

Entry Fee:    $3 per skein -  limit of one skein per person per category

Deadline: Entry forms must be received by May 17 (by mail or email)

Skeins must arrive bewteen 9 am -11 am on May 24, 2008. Items must be picked up by 4:45 that day. The festival is not responsible for items left after that time.

Fiber Arts Competition

All entries must have been completed in the last 2 years and be made form natural fibers. The items must be handmade by the person entering the item.  The entry must state the fiber and the fiber craft involved in the process.

Entry Fee $3          Limit of 1 item per person per category

Entry Forms must be received by May 17 (by mail or email)

Entries must be recieved between 9 am and 11 am on Saturday May 24, 2008. All entries must be picked up by 4:45 pm on that day. the festival is not responsible for items not picked up by that time.
